Walking into the Strike Zone in Brunswick, customers are met by bright colors, sounds, and lights signaling that fun is straight ahead. On the wall is a mural of 1950s cars and personalities that stands as a backdrop to the bowling lanes. “That’s my favorite part of being here,” General Manager Michael Brinson says. “The personal interaction with customers, especially league bowlers. I’ve gotten to meet a lot of interesting people and made a lot of good friends.”

“And as we say around here, weather is never a factor,” Brinson says.

Over the past 12 years, locals have discovered the Strike Zone as the place to go for fun and meeting people. The Strike Zone has also worked to help support local organizations like Way Radio and the school system’s athletic programs.
The Strike Zone is open Monday from 10:00 am to 2:00 am, Tuesday through Thursday from 10:00 am to 11:00 pm, Friday and Saturday from 10:00 am to 1:00 am, and Sunday from noon to 10:00 pm. An added plus on Friday and Saturday nights is the popular “Rock-n-Bowl,” featuring black lights and music videos for families from 6:00-9:00 pm, followed by regular “Rock-n-Bowl” from 10:00 pm to 1:00 am.

“Kids bowl two free games every day. All you do is pay for your shoes,” Brinson says.
