Venue

Kingsland, Ga.
Regular Season Stats:
Camden County: 30.6 points per game; 16.5 points allowed per game
Hillgrove: 27.9 points per game; 21.5 points allowed per game
After missing the playoffs in 2014 with a 5-5 record, the Camden County Wildcats have made one of the most impressive turnarounds in recent years. Finishing the season just one game shy of perfection, they will begin their playoff run in front of the Camden faithful as they take on the Hillgrove Hawks (Powder Springs, Ga.).
After a disappointing 2014 effort, the Wildcats opened their 2015 campaign on a 9-game win streak before falling to Colquitt County in the final game of the regular season. The single loss to the Packers gave Camden County the second seed in Region 1-AAAAAA; the Hawks come in as the third seed from Region 4-AAAAAA.
While the Packers ran the table for the second consecutive year, the competition of Region 1-AAAAAA still posed as much of a challenge as possible. In fact, the decisive game for the region championship came down to Colquitt County and then-undefeated Camden County in the season finale.
Camden County comes in as a region champion, but the Hawks hold a 2-1 edge in the series. Their last meeting came in the second round of the 2013 playoffs; the Hawks went into Kingsland and defeated the Wildcats 34-21.
The winner of Friday’s game will move on to the next round to face either the Parkview Panthers (Lilburn, Ga.) or the Roswell Hornets (Roswell, Ga.) on November 20.
