Brooks County High School has enjoyed success across several sports over the years. The football program under Maurice Freeman has enjoyed season after season success, while the baseball and basketball programs also enjoyed some success. To say the Brooks County softball program was suffering was a bit of an understatement.
The Lady Trojans program won a total of 10 games over four years from the 2013 to 2016 seasons. To try to find a reason why there was such a stretch of futility in one program at a school whose other varsity programs enjoy success is up for debate. For more on the team’s downfalls and successes:
