The Mandarin Mustangs have had two back-to-back incredible seasons. Under Head Coach Quinn Gray, the Mustangs have only lost three games in the last two seasons.
However, this offseason Gray stepped down from his coaching position due to family reasons. Taking over the helm in the 2017 season is Bobby Ramsay. Ramsay knows what it takes to lead a winning program. In his tenure at Yulee he never had a season below .500
Although the Mustangs barely missed out on the playoffs last season, they certainly weren’t short on talent. This could be exactly the motivation they need to make it back to the playoffs.
The future is bright for the Mustangs as they now have the talent and the coaching skill to finally break through that glass ceiling into the playoffs. They do still have a tough schedule ahead of them in the 2017 season. Not to mention Sandalwood powerhouse stands in their way in the 8A district.
We wouldn’t be surprised if the Mustangs end up surprising a few people this season. They are certainly a team to keep an eye on in 2017.
