In an area known for its competitive high school football landscape, there’s another sport gaining a reputation for its level of athletic ability and competitiveness.
Cheerleading has been around as long as the game of football has, but the different types of cheer squads and their responsibilities have changed a lot. Cheerleading has become much more than the girls with pom poms on the sidelines, leading the crowd in “Go, Team, Go” chants. In fact, it’s no longer just a sideline sport.
