Morgan County Soccer Player Scores Goal After Chemotherapy

Morgan County soccer player Jacob Martin scored the game-clinching goal for his team this past week. Sure, other players have done that before. But Martin, a defender, did it after his 11th round of chemotherapy. The goal made it all the way to a feature on SportsCenter. Martin was not sure he would even play soccer this season, but has not missed a game yet.

The last Morgan County game of the season on March 30 was one day after Martin’s 12th, and hopefully final, round of chemotherapy.
