One of the top overall programs in the state of Florida, the Miami Central football team has named a new head coach as defensive coordinator Jube Joseph takes over at the helm of the Rockets program. Joseph replaces long-time Miami Central football head coach Roland Smith, who recently joined the staff at the University of Miami under new head coach Mario Cristobal.
Winning the Class 5A state title in 2021, the Rockets went 12-2 last season with their lone two losses coming to out-of-state programs St. John Bosco (CA) and Bishop Gorman (NV) to begin the year. For a defense that allowed only 13.1 points per game to opponents last season under Jube Joseph, Miami Central is set to return a talented roster in 2022, headlined by one of the state’s top pass rushers in four-star Reuben Bain.
