Marcelo Mayer from Eastlake High School is considered to be one of the best shortstops in the nation. He is a top-10 national prospect in the 2021 baseball recruiting class and is the only top-10 prospect from California.
He recently decided to continue his baseball career at the University of Southern California. With an outstanding 0.354 batting average, he will only continue to improve and is on track to be one of the top picks in the MLB Draft.
