These are the players who give it their all and leave nothing on the field when the clock reads 0:00. Following are the top performances from Week 6 of the 2022 Georgia high school football season.
Offense
Worth QB Chip Cooper was 21-for-29 for 229 yards and 3 touchdowns, rushed 20 times for 94 yards and a score, and punted 3 times for a 37-yard average. He led Worth to victory over Berrien despite suffering a high ankle sprain on the game’s opening drive.
Northeast Macon’s Nicholas Woodford had another game to remember in Week 6 of Georgia high school football action. He had 23 carries for 275 yards and 6 touchdowns against
Southwest Macon, marking two straight outstanding weeks for the Raiders RB; last week he also had 23 carries, netting 293 yards and 5 TDs.
Perry quarterback Armar Gordon finished with an almost-perfect 10-of-11 passing performance for 192 yards and 3 TDs to lead his Panthers to a 49-0 victory.
Thomas County Central QB Sam Brown finished his night with 11-of-13 passing for 268 yards and 5 TDs in only one half of football.
Cedartown RB Harlem Diamond had 6 carries for 100 yards and 3 touchdowns, along with a 40-yard TD reception to give him 4 scores in just one half of play.
Lowndes QB Marvis Parish scored 3 rushing TDs to lead the Vikings to a 24-14 upset win over Grayson.
North Gwinnett RB Julian Walters scored 3 rushing TDs in the Bulldogs’ win.
Kennesaw Mountain QB Cayman Prangley threw 4 TDs and rushed for another to give him 5 TDs on the night in leading the Mustangs over South Cobb.
Defense
Valdosta DB Tim Roberson had yet another standout game with an interception in the
Wildcats’ Week 6 win Friday night. The pick was his seventh of the 2022 Georgia high school season and extended his streak of at least one in every game so far.
Crisp LB Julian Fox finished with 18 tackles and a fumble recovery against Northside Warner Robins.
Kennesaw Mountain DB David Attaochu had a pick-6 interception in his team’s big victory Friday night.
Benedictine senior DB Cody Brinson had 2 interceptions to lead the Cadets defense against Jacksonville’s Bolles School.
Special Teams
Lowndes punter Carson Page played a major role in helping his Vikings defeat the Grayson Rams. Page had a 68-yard punt and several more that helped Lowndes to win the battle of field position and keep the Grayson offense on their side of the field for most of the night.
Lowndes kicker Aiden Andrews booted a 43-yard FG to help the Vikings defeat Grayson.
Lambert kicker Ryan Degyansky kicked a 42-yard field goal and went 4-for-4 on PATs to help his team defeat East Coweta.
Bo Payne had a 61-yard punt return for a TD for his Irwin County Indians.
Benedictine kicker Asher Sigmon was 4-for-4 on field goal attempts.
Perry kicker Caden Camp was a perfect 7-for-7 on PATs in the Panthers’ 49-0 win.
North Gwinnett’s Corey Tornese blocked a punt and scooped it up for a TD in the Bulldogs’ 42-0 win.
Carrollton’s Takare Lipscomb had a 92-yard kick return for a TD in the Trojans’ victory.
