Lowndes #55 catches Ivy Leagues’ eye

Tucker Barnes is racking up on scholarship offers with yet another offer from Brown University June 26th.  Ivy League, anyone? Along with Brown University, Barnes has gotten offers from Campbell and Davidson.  Although Brown University is his first D1 football offer, the rising senior has a 4.325 GPA and scored a 1780 on the SAT; Brown should be a catalyst of other Ivy League interest such as Dartmouth and Yale.

In preparation for this upcoming season and potential college level play in the future, Barnes has been keeping busy; the offseason has been jammed packed with of college visits, workouts, and camps. Even the team, Lowndes High School Vikings, seems to be doing well too. According to Barnes, “The offseason is going great. I’ve been working really hard to try to get faster. The team is really coming together and bonding.”

2016 has been good to Barnes, but 2017 has the potential to be great. He’s perfecting his craft in the off season, the team is coming together nicely, and he’s getting offer after offer. What more can Barnes ask for?
