The Oakleaf Knights went 7-3 last season under head football coach Steve Reynolds. The Knights had some tough losses last season from Ponte Vedra who topped them 41-24. The Knights should hold their heads up high because Ponte Verda went to the state championship last season. Another loss that was a little closer was against Buchholz in Gainesville. The Knights lost 10-7 in a nail biter.
Looking on to this upcoming season, the key to Oakleaf’s success is to win the close games. Head coach Reynolds has built a prominent program, they just need to win the little battles to make more noise in the season. With the new playoff schedule, these few games will influence the Knights success next season if they want to make it to the playoffs.
