To say that the St. Johns Country Day girls soccer team is merely good would be an understatement. A program that started 27 years ago with just a handful of players has grown into one of Florida’s most successful soccer programs.
Mike Pickett, who is head coach for the girls program, is beginning his 22nd year at St. Johns.
“I can remember when I started here 21 years ago,” Pickett said. “We had 15 players on the entire roster. Now, this year’s team will have 55 players.”
