Georgia High School Football Week 12 Top Performers Includes Jefferson’s Brown – Again

Each week ITG Next recognizes the best offensive, defensive and special teams players from Georgia high school football games across the state. Here are the top performers from the final week of regular-season play.

Offense

Top Performer: For the second straight week, Jefferson five-star athlete Sammy Brown earned his spot atop our Georgia high school top performers list with his 4-TD performance in a win over Eastside.

Milton RB Scott Moskowitz had 19 carries for 168 yards and a TD to help lead his Eagles to a region title-clinching win over Lambert.

Cook County RB Keshun McKeever rushed an incredible 48 times for 262 yards and 3 TDs to lead the Hornets to victory over Worth County.

Colquitt County WR Ny Carr had 10 receptions for 107 yards and 2 TDs to help the Packers defeat Richmond Hill and finish the regular season with a perfect 10-0 record.

North Gwinnett RB Julian Walters had 14 carries for 111 yards and 3 TDs to help his Bulldogs capture a region 7-7A title with a win over Norcross.

Parkview RB Khyair Spain  had 27 rushes for 222 yards to lead the Panthers to a victory over Grayson.

Defense

Allatoona teammates Mekhi Buchanon and AJ Fitts each had a pick-6 interception return to lead the Buccaneers to a 31-0 win over River Ridge.

Blessed Trinity LB Logan Sandavol recovered a Lassiter fumble and returned it 30 yards for a TD in the Titans’ shutout win.

Chatahoochee DB Syrus Chivers had a 49-yard pick-6 INT.

LaGrange DB Parker Shattuck had a late INT against Troup County to preserve the Grangers’ upset win.

Special Teams

Norcross K Drew Duva was 2/2 on FG attempts of 26 yards and 33 yards, while successfully converting 3/3 PAT attempts against North Gwinnett.

McEachern K Lucas Wynn kicked FGs of 37 yards, 32 yards, and 30 yards in the Indians’ game against Hillgrove.

Colquitt County K Brett Fitzgerald kicked FGs from 46 yards and 36 yards and converted 5/5 PATs successfully.

Cherokee High K Rodion Averianov was successful on FG attempts from 37 yards and 52 yards in the Warriors’ 30-14 win over Kennesaw Mountain.

Allatoona K Gray Kelly connected on a 47-yard FG and converted 4/4 PATs successfully in the Buccaneers’ 31-0 win over River Ridge.

Our final entry on the list of Georgia high school top performers from last week is Starrs Mill PK Max Prozny was successful on 2 long FG attempts of 42 yards and 45 yards to provide all of his team’s scoring against Whitewater.
