Paxon School for Advanced Studies is a school renowned for their academic achievements. However, they seem to lack something when it comes to their football team.
Last season the Golden Eagles finished with a record of 3-7 without winning a single away game. However, when you look at the caliber of their opponents, their record shouldn’t come as a surprise.
Paxon played teams like Bishop Kenny, Ribault, Suwanee and Yulee. All of these teams finished last season with a win percentage of .500 or better. When it comes to games that Paxon should have won, they did just that. Beating Stanton, Wolfson and Englewood.
This is a big delivery for a school that is much more renowned for its academic achievements than its athletic ones.
Next season the Golden Eagles may be able to get off to a great start and keep the momentum going. They face Englewood, Wolfson and Creekside in the first three games, which are all winnable games for Paxon. The difficult part of the season comes in the second half when they play Suwanee, Ribault and Yulee.
Hopefully the three winnable games in the beginning of the season will be enough to carry the Golden Eagles through.
