One of the highest rated cornerback recruits in the recent history of Florida high school football, McClain can simply be described as a special talent on the football field.

A player who has seen time on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball for Lake Gibson, McClain has impressed dating back to his 2020 sophomore season where he added nine interceptions, setting the Braves school record in the process. Fast forwarding to the most recent 2021 season, how did McClain top that? By collecting 10 interceptions, breaking the single season record that he set the year prior. 

A consensus five-star, McClain is currently rated as the No. 3 overall recruit in the country for the Class of 2023, according to the 247Sports Composite, as well as the top cornerback in the state of Florida. If you were to watch any of McClain’s highlights, you won’t have to watch many to tell that McClain is a special talent at the cornerback position.

At 6-foot-1, McClain is a player who displays impressive athleticism as the cornerback led by speed and quickness, as well as a feel for where the ball will be to make a play on every down, evident by his 19 combined interceptions the last two years. As expected with a player the caliber of McClain, the Lake Gibson standout has offers and interest from countless prominent collegiate programs such as Alabama, Florida, Miami, Michigan, Ohio State, and more.
