Here are our top 10 performers from Week 9 of the 2025 Georgia high school football season.
Top Offensive Performances
Cook running back Dawson Davis had 17 carries for 186 yards and two TDs to help Cook defeat Tattnall County 31-21 in a key Region 3-2A matchup.
Collins Hill quarterback AJ Bush, a senior, completed 27-of-41 pass attempts for 335 yards and two TDs while adding 16 yards rushing versus Mill Creek.
Gainesville running back Nigel Newkirk had 16 carries for 162 yards rushing and three TDs rushing, including a late fourth-quarter 50-yard run with six minutes left to give the Red Elephants their final TD of the night and seal the victory over Milton.
Top Defensive Performances
Ola defensive back Kaden Driscoll had a big night to lead his team’s defensive effort in a shutout victory over Woodland. The sophomore had three interceptions, including one that he returned 49 yards for a touchdown. He also added one tackle on the night.
Valdosta safety Tremaine Johnson came up big against Richmond Hill with a solid defensive effort, especially against the run game. The senior came up with 11 tackles to help his Valdosta Wildcats to a 41-0 win over Richmond Hill.
Mill Creek linebacker and safety Braxton Rembert, a senior, had a big night defensively for the Hawks versus Collins Hill. The Wake Forest commit had nine tackles, one QB sack, and one interception in the game.
Collins Hill defensive lineman Valiaku Kargbo, a senior, had seven tackles, including two tackles for loss; one quarterback sack; and one forced fumble for the Eagles’ defensive effort versus Mill Creek.
Top Special Teams Performances
Marist kicker and punter Tyler Baradel was 2-for-2 on field goal attempts, connecting on a 40-yard attempt and a 46-yard attempt. He was also 2-for-2 on extra-point attempts and had five touchbacks out of six kickoffs on the night in his team’s 28-21 win over St. Pius X.
Clinch County defensive back Fred Causey blocked a Brooks County field goal attempt that was returned 85 yards for the game’s only TD, and he had the game-clinching interception against Brooks County to give the Panthers a 6-0 win.
McEachern kicker Wes Sheehan, a junior, was perfect on all six PATs, and he kicked a 33-yard field goal to help the Indians remain undefeated in beating Pebblebrook 51-14.
