Moving to the United States from Puerto Rico. Getting bullied at a young age. Learning a new language. Being viewed as too short. J.J. Ramirez has overcome all obstacles in her path to becoming one of the best volleyball players in the state of Florida.
At Fleming Island High School, Ramirez is a junior who helped lead the Golden Eagles to a 25-4 record and a No. 16 ranking in the state of Florida. She also played with Team Florida High Performance, where she was named an all-star and won her first national championship.
