Colquitt Champions Choose Colleges

Wednesday, February 3, 2016 will be one of the biggest days in the lives of many high school athletes across the country. This past weekend many high profile football recruits took their final official visits before the big day and some coaches were lucky enough to gain some commitments to bolster their programs. The following four Packers announced their college declarations over the weekend.

Chase Parrish, Navy

Last week, Parrish announced he received an offer from the Naval Academy and went up for a visit over the weekend. Saturday night, via twitter, the high school star gunslinger announced his intentions. According to 247Sports, he joins a class of 33 future cadets ready to carry on the Midshipmen tradition.

Kiel Pollard, South Carolina

After being committed to Arkansas since the end of September, the electric wideout announced his plans to flip to the University of South Carolina. Pollard is joining a Gamecock program that has received a spark in recruiting thanks to new coach Will Muschamp and his staff.

Dee Walker, Arkansas

Walker finally ended his recruitment process on Saturday. During a visit to the University of Arkansas, the 6-3, 210 pound linebacker became a part of a Razorbacks’ program trying to get back atop the SEC West for the first time in a decade.

Shaun Bonner, Indiana

Indiana received a huge pick-up from the tight end on Sunday. The Hoosiers gained their 17th commitment on their quest to finish strong. Bonner goes from playing in one of the best offenses in the state of Georgia to joining the Big Ten’s best.

Other Colquitt Commitments:

Ja’Quain Blakely, Tennessee

Ty Lee, Georgia Southern

Rakeem Hightower, Georgia Southern

Luis Martinez, Georgia Southern
