Bailey, Vann Lead Florida High School Football Week 5 Performances

It’s the midway point of the 2022 Florida high school football regular season. Here’s a look at some of the top performers across the Sunshine State in Week 5. 

 

Cedrick Bailey – Chaminade-Madonna

Recently voted our Florida Male Athlete of the Month, Bailey completed 17-of-23 passes for 205 yards and 3 touchdowns in Chaminade-Madonna’s 28-0 win over Gulliver Prep. Bailey, a junior quarterback, also rushed for a 15-yard touchdown in this outstanding Florida high school football Week 5 performance.

 

Nehemiah Vann – Seven Rivers Christian

Vann did it all in Seven Rivers Christian’s 52-8 win over Saint Francis Catholic. The senior quarterback completed 8-of-13 passes for 109 yards and a touchdown, rushed for 112 yards and 3 TDs on 7 attempts, and made a big impact on defense as well, recording 4 tackles, an interception, and 2 PDs. 

 

Luke Yoder – East Lake

Yoder rushed for 206 yards and 3 touchdowns on 5 attempts in East Lake’s 48-13 win over Tarpon Springs.

 

Jason Patterson – Sneads

Patterson, one of the state’s top rushers, did a little bit of everything on offense in Sneads’ 38-20 win over Miller County. The junior rushed for 180 yards and 2 scores on 24 attempts while also catching 2 passes for 30 yards and a touchdown. He also completed a pass for 21 yards. 

 

Gabriel Lenamon – Stoneman Douglas

Lenamon collected 20 total tackles (9 solo) in Stoneman Douglas’ 20-14 loss against Monarch. 

 

Kendrick Raphael – Naples

Raphael was one of the state’s top performers for the second consecutive week. The four-star senior rushed for 163 yards and 3 touchdowns on 5 carries in Naples’ 56-6 win over Killian. 

 

Evan Dickens – IMG Academy

A Coastal Carolina commit, Dickens rushed for 100 yards and 3 touchdowns on 13 carries in the Ascenders’ 41-26 road win against Alabama’s Central-Phenix City. 

 

Tae Floyd – Forest

Despite the Wildcats’ 20-18 loss to Dunnellon, Floyd made a notable impact on the defensive side of the ball, compiling 10 tackles, 6 TFL, 2 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles.
