2022 FHSAA Class 2S, 1M, 1S, 1R State Championships Top Performances
As we enter the final week of the season, let’s take a look back at some of the top performances from the 2022 Florida Classes 1 and 2 state finals. Championships were held in in Class 2S, 1M, 1S, and 1R and included a memorable showing from Chaminade-Madonna’s electric offense.
Cedrick Bailey – Chaminade-Madonna
Bailey completed 21-of-29 passes for 374 yards and 3 touchdowns, while also rushing for 35 yards on 4 attempts, for Chaminade-Madonna in the Florida Classes 1 and 2 state finals. The Lions beat Clearwater Central Catholic 48-14 to claim the 1M title.
Davion Gause – Chaminade-Madonna
Gause rushed for 186 yards and @ touchdowns on 14 attempts in Chaminade-Madonna’s 48-14 win over Clearwater Central Catholic.
Blake Boda – Cocoa
Boda, one of Florida’s top passers, threw for 256 yards with 2 touchdowns and rushed for another score in Cocoa’s 38-31 win over Florida State.
Jeremiah Smith – Chaminade-Madonna
Smith had 7 receptions for 113 yards and 2 touchdowns in Chaminade-Madonna’s 48-14 win over Clearwater Central Catholic.
Ethan Crossan – First Baptist Academy
Crossan completed seven passes for 185 yards and 3 touchdowns in First Baptist Academy’s 21-3 win over Trinity Catholic.
Jeno Junius – Chaminade-Madonna
Junius compiled 19 tackles and a 0.5 TFL in Chaminade-Madonna’s 48-14 win over Clearwater Central Catholic.
