Alex Collier is well known in the Florida high school track world. Now, he wants to expand his horizons and add football to his resume.
The Orange Park High School senior ranks among the fastest athletes in the state between 100 and 400 meters. He won last year’s 3A state championship in the 400-meter race, with his 46.33-second time being the fastest for the event in all four classifications. He also placed third in the 100-meter race earlier that day at the University of North Florida’s Hodges Stadium, just 13 seconds behind the winner from Miami Northwestern.
