Our best overall performer in Georgia high school Week 9 was Colquitt County quarterback Neko Fann, who completed 87% of his pass attempts – 13-of-15 – for 224 yards and 4 touchdowns, and he also rushed 6 times for 32 yards to lead his Packers to a region win over Camden County in Kingsland. This was the ninth time that Fann has thrown 4 or more TD passes in a game. He is Colquitt County’s all-time career leader in TD passes with 81, and he is now just 15 yards away from becoming the Packers’ All-time leader in passing yardage.

Offense/All-Purpose

  • Kell RB Tyriq Green had a big Georgia high school Week 9 with 216 yards rushing and 3 TDs on 14 carries, plus 3 receptions for 85 yards.
  • Peachtree Ridge QB Darnell Kelly completed 20-of-38 pass attempts for 239 yards and 3 TDs to lead Peachtree Ridge to a 27-17 win over North Gwinnett.
  • Stephenson RB Devin Ingram had 15 carries for 255 yards and 4 TDs, plus a 90-yard kickoff return for a TD against Miller Grove.
  • Cook RB Keeshun McKeever had 26 carries for 222 yards with 5 TDs in a win over Berrien County.
  • Dalton RB Adriel Hernandez ran for 211 yards with 4 TDs to lead his team to a win over Cass.
  • Crisp WR DeShaun Fedd had 9 receptions for 216 yards in the Cougars’ game against Carver Columbus.

Defense

  • Callaway DB Johnathon Freeman had an INT return for a TD in the Cavs’ win over Tower.
  • Colquitt County DT Tyshon Reed had 6 tackles against Camden County.
  • Kell DT Tyshawn Natt had 14 tackles, including 2 sacks, to help his team to a 48-21 win over Cambridge.
  • Crisp County DB Cayden Daniels had 5 tackles, 4 pass breakups, and 1 fumble recovery against Carver.
  • Charlton County DB Jamie Jackson returned an INT 49 yards for a TD.
  • Jones County DB Deterrence Holloway had a 35-yard INT return for a TD against Dutchtown in a 35-28 win for the Greyhounds.
  • Richmond Hill’s Gabe Bauman led the Wildcats defense with 9 tackles, including 1 TFL against, Valdosta.
  • Callaway DT Tyrone Fitten returned a fumble for a TD against Tower.
  • Bainbridge DB Jace Weaver returned a fumble for a TD in the Bearcats’ win over Shaw.

Special Teams

  • Chattahoochee’s Eberechukwu Bailey returned a blocked punt 91 yards for a TD in his team’s 53-0 win over Northview.
  • Colquitt K Brett Fitzgerald had a big Georgia high school Week 9, kicking a 32-yard FG and going 4-for-4 on PATs in the Packers’ win over Camden.
  • Westminster K Will Simpson connected on FG tries of 40 and 28 yards, and he was 3-for-3 on PATs.
  • Lowndes P Carson Page averaged 40 yards per punt on 4 kicks for the Vikings in their 31-7  win over Dunbar Friday night. Carson’s longest punt traveled 49 yards.
