If you have been keeping up with college basketball across the last two to three weeks, then you’ll likely be aware of a few coaching changes at some key programs across the country. As a result of these changes, several top Florida high school basketball recruits have recently uncommitted from those schools and now join an impressive list of available names across the state.
Here is a look at those names around Florida who are still uncommitted, each of whom potentially will be making a decision in the near future. (Rankings courtesy of 247Sports)
Skyy Clark
A five-star point guard and the nation’s No. 27 overall player out of Montverde Academy, Skyy Clark was a long-time Kentucky commit who decommitted from the Wildcats back in early March. A talented scorer at 6-foot-3, Clark is considered the No. 5 point guard in the 2022 class, and has interest from many of the nation’s top programs, such as Gonzaga, Illinois, and more.
Malik Reneau
The first Florida basketball prospect on this list to decommit due to a recent coaching change, Malik Reneau was a former Florida commit who decided to re-open his recruitment last week. A teammate of Clark at Montverde Academy, the five-star forward holds offers from multiple prominent programs such as Arkansas, Florida State, and more.
Eric Dailey
A 6-foot-7 forward from IMG Academy, Eric Dailey is rated as a four-star prospect, as well as the No. 44 overall player nationally. While Dailey has yet to commit anywhere, the versatile forward holds offers from numerous schools, a group headlined by two SEC programs in Florida and Texas A&M.
Riley Kugel
A former Mississippi State commit, Riley Kugel has been one of the fastest-rising prospects in the entire country during the 2021-22 season, one in which he averaged 16.5 points per game (PPG) for 7A runner up Dr. Phillips. A three-star prospect, Kugel holds offers from a few prominent programs such as Auburn, Houston, Miami, and more.
Noah Batchelor
A three-star forward from IMG Academy, Noah Batchelor is a former Memphis commit who decommitted from the Tigers back in early February. An impressive three-point shooter, Batchelor holds offers from programs such as Florida, Maryland, and more.
Hansel Enmanuel
A 6-foot-4 combo guard, Hansel Enmanuel is a player who has received national attention this season due to some of his highlight-reel plays and dunks for Life Christian Academy. The three-star previously held offers from Tennessee State and Bethune-Cookman before picking up an offer from Memphis back in mid-February.
Fabio Basil
You certainly could argue that Fabio Basil, a 6-foot-2 point guard from Oak Ridge, is one of the more underrated high school basketball prospects in the state. The three-star is coming off a phenomenal 2021-22 season in which he averaged 20 PPG, 4.1 RPG, and 4.8 APG for the Pioneers, one of the top teams in Class 7A.
Angel Montas
A teammate of Enmanuel previously at Life Christian Academy, Angel Montas is a 6-foot-5 forward who is rated as a three-star prospect. Montas holds offers from a few notable programs, a group that includes Dayton, Illinois, and Tennessee.
Maurice Odum
The final uncommitted 2022 Florida high school basketball recruit according to 247Sports is Maurice Odum, a three-star point guard from West Oaks Academy. Odum currently holds offers from a few notable programs, one of which is NCAA Tournament Cinderella Saint Peter’s.
