Having rapidly and nearly effortlessly ascending the mountain of GHSA’s highest classification, going undefeated and capturing the state championship, there was nowhere to go but down for the 2015 Colquitt County Packers, right? Wrong.

Although the offseason and preseason leading up to their 2015 campaign was not without controversy and uncertainty, the Packers entered into the season looking to prove that they were there to stay. Returning to the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia, where this entire journey first began, Colquitt County let the state of Georgia know that 2014 was not only not a fluke, but was in fact only the beginning.

This episode, watch the transition from the 2014 to 2015 season, culminating in their opening game in the Corky Kell Classic against a highly respected North Gwinnett team.

The GHSA State Championships, hosted in the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia: it was not unfamiliar territory for the Pack. They played there for the 2014 Corky Kell Classic, the 2014 state championship, the 2015 Corky Kell Classic, and now, most importantly, the 2015 state championship. Yet despite that, the previous 29 wins and championships meant nothing on this stage.

Entering into the Dome with everything on the line, Colquitt County was set to face off against the incredibly talented Roswell Hornets who were looking to play spoiler. Loaded with Division 1 talent, Roswell was as well equipped to pull off the upset as any team could be. But Coach Propst and the Packers came ready; no moment too big, no opponent too difficult, no goal too distant.

The unprecedented prestige of being the 30-0, back-to-back state champions in Georgia’s highest classification hung in the balance, all coming down to this game: the Colquitt County Packers vs the Roswell Hornets.
