3-Point State Record Broken by Colorado Basketball Player

Records are meant to be broken. That’s exactly what Denver South (Colorado) player Timiya Guevara did on Feb. 27 in a game against Lincoln. Guevara shattered the 3-point state record after making 15 3-point shots in a single game.

The senior also accumulated the third-highest point total in state history with 55 points in the game. Guevara was two made 3-point shots away from the national record of 17, according to the NFHS record book.

Her impressive efforts helped Denver South move to a record of 11-1.
