An instant classic awaits us as Lee County visits Milton in a semifinal battle between the two teams at the top of our 2024 Georgia high school football rankings for Class 5A. The Trojans and Eagles each enter the game undefeated and playing as well as any team in the state.
Some are saying Milton versus Lee County is the championship, but Coffee and Hughes will have something to say about that.
Coffee rolled up 72 points in their win last week over Sequoyah, with Coffee running back Tyrese Woodgett rushing for 605 yards and seven touchdowns.
Hughes did what many thought couldn’t be done: slow down the Thomas County Central offense. Hughes did just that, limiting the Yellow Jackets to just 12 points. Can they do it again this week with Coffee?
