Perry lost to the Class 5A Houston County Bears last week, but one loss isn’t enough to derail the Panthers as the No. 1 team in our updated 2024 Georgia high school football rankings for Class 4A.

However, Creekside’s 70-point loss to Desoto (Texas) was enough to drop the Seminoles out of our Top 10.

Blessed Trinity takes over the No. 9 spot, making their debut in our Class 4A poll.

  2. Marist
  3. Benedictine

In a much-anticipated matchup of quality Middle Georgia programs, Perry and Peach County went at it last week. The Panthers came away with the win over head coach Maurice Westbrook’s much-improved Trojans to remain atop our 2024 Georgia high school football rankings for Class 4A.

Benedictine lost a close, 1-point contest to Buford, but showed they can play with any program, anywhere, regardless of classification. Head coach Danny Britt’s team finds themselves at 0-2 to start the season, but they remain every bit a championship contender.

Marist stays at the No. 2 spot after a week off.
