Toombs County takes over the No. 1 ranking from another Bulldogs program, as Thomasville acquired their first loss of the season to crosstown rival Thomas County Central 48-10.

Northeast and Rabun County, who were ranked in our preseason poll before falling out, find their way back into the Top 10. They replace Worth County and Swainsboro, who both lost last week.

Thomasville remains the No. 1 team in our updated 2024 Georgia high school football rankings for Class 1A-Division I after surviving a scare from Highway 84 rival Cairo last week. Their game was tied 28-28 before the Bulldogs pulled out a late victory.

That sets up a showdown with yet another battle of neighbors as Thomas County Central visits Thomasville this week. This Rose City rivalry will be our ITG Next Game of the Week.

The rest of our Top 10 teams won their Week 3 games and retain their positions from last week’s rankings.
