Top 25 Georgia High School Baseball Teams: Classes 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A, 6A, 7A
Updated 5/22/2024 – Final
With the season officially over, we present our final 2024 Georgia high school baseball Top 25 rankings.
There were some dominant performances from several teams throughout this season. Harlem is one of those, as the Bulldogs lost just once in 2024 enroute to a 39-1 record and their second consecutive state title in Class 3A. They lost only one game in the 2023 season too.
Harlem was one of five repeat state champions this year. Lowndes won their second straight Class 7A state title, Loganville won it all once again in Class 5A, North Cobb Christian took home a second straight championship in Class 2A, and Prince Avenue Christian is the repeat state champion in Class 1A-DI.
Pope and Charlton County each made it to the state championship for a second straight season, with Pope coming up short for a second straight year. Charlton County was not able to win consecutive titles, falling to South Georgia neighbor Lanier County.
There may not have been a more dominant postseason run to a state title than that of the Etowah Eagles, who won 10 straight playoff games with shutouts in six of those 10 victories.
The Lowdes Vikings also flexed their postseason muscles, winning nine out of their 10 playoff games with three shutouts.
Class 4A state champion Starr’s Mill got past defending state champion North Oconee in the semifinals this year to win the title. The Titans defeated the Panthers last year in the same Final Four round to win it all.
Congratulations to all of the 2024 GHSA baseball state champions.

All of the state championship series are set as of this latest poll with the exception of Class 2A, as the semifinal-deciding Game 3 between Appling County and Mt. Paran was not completed before this poll was posted. The winner of that series will play North Cobb Christian for the state title.
Lowndes will attempt to repeat as the Class 7A state champion as they battle Grayson in the finals.
Houston County will not have the opportunity to defend their Class 6A state title as the Bears were upset in the semifinals, losing two straight games to Pope. Pope will face Etowah for the championship.
Elsewhere, Loganville will battle Cartersville for the Class 5A title, Cherokee Bluff takes on Starr’s Mill for the Class 4A championship, and Harlem looks to defend their Class 3A state championship against Calvary Day.
While Class 2A’s final teams are still undecided, the Class 1A finals are set: South Georgia rivals Lanier County and Charlton County will meet to decide the state champion for Division II, and Prince Avenue Christian will take on Tallulah Falls for the Division I state title.

We welcome three new teams into this week’s Georgia high school baseball Top 25 rankings, while rewarding two others for their impressive winning streaks since our last poll.
New to the poll are Evans, who debuts at No. 22 after an impressive 13-game winning streak; Perry, who is red hot with an 11-game winning streak and comes into this week’s ranking at the No. 23 spot; and Baconton Charter, who is rewarded for an 18-game winning streak by debuting at No. 25.
North Gwinnett and Greater Atlanta Christian are the two biggest movers this week as both jump up seven spots from our last ranking. The Bulldogs are riding a 10-game winning streak, while GAC is on fire with an impressive 17 straight victories.
Much of the Top 10 remains the same with the exception of Buford. After climbing into the Top 5, the Wolves’ three-game losing streak to kick off April dropped them out of the Top 10.
Houston County remains our top team, with Lowndes and Parkview staying right on the Bears’ heels.
