Top 25 Alabama High School Girls Basketball Teams: Classes 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A, 6A, 7A

With the 2023-24 Alabama high school girls basketball season having officially come to an end, here are our final Top 25 rankings of the year. 

In all, eight of the 10 state champions crowned this season finish the year ranked. Class 6A state champion Hazel Green finishes the year in the top spot, with Class 4A state champion Good Hope not far behind at No. 2. 

The remaining state champions are Hoover (No. 3) in Class 7A,  Jasper (No. 6) in Class 5A, Trinity Presbyterian (No. 3) in Class 3A, Ider (No. 20) in Class 2A, Spring Garden (No. 9) in Class 1A, Glenwood (No. 25) in AISA Class 3A, Edgewood (unranked) in AISA Class 2A, and Lowndes (unranked) in AISA Class 1A.

With the 2023-24 Alabama high school girls basketball playoffs fully underway, three teams now join our Top 25 rankings in this latest update with 6A’s Huffman appearing at No. 22, 4A’s Bibb County at No. 23, and 5A’s Southside (Gadsden) at No. 25.

A few other teams saw notable rises such as Hillcrest (Tuscaloosa), Hoover, Park Crossing, and Jasper, among others.

This update of our 2023-24 Alabama high school girls basketball rankings sees three teams enter the Top 25 as we head into the area tournament round with Prattville, Davidson, and Trinity Presbyterian sitting in the No. 23-25 spots, respectively. 

Class 4A’s Good Hope also sees one of the most notable jumps of the week, rising two spots up to No. 3.

The latest update of our 2023-24 Alabama high school girls basketball rankings sees three new teams enter the Top-25: West Point, Saint James, and James Clemens come in at Nos. 23 through 25, respectively. Class 3A’s Lauderdale County is the biggest mover of the week, jumping six spots to No. 7.

Encompassing all classifications, the list is topped by Class 6A’s Hazel Green at No. 1. The Trojans are 15-3 overall and have yet to lose to an in-state team.
