Top 25 Alabama High School Boys Basketball Teams: Classes 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A, 6A, 7A

We officially close out the 2023-24 Alabama high school boys basketball season this week with our final Top 25 rankings of the year, which see Class 7A state champion Hoover sitting at No. 1.
Seven other state champions also finish the year ranked, with each team and rank as follows: Class 6A’s Buckhorn at No. 2, Class 5A’s Fairfield at No. 7, Class 4A’s Jackson at No. 10, Class 3A’s Hillcrest-Evergreen at No. 17, Class 2A’s Mars Hill Bible at No. 14, Class 1A’s Georgiana at No. 24, and AISA Class 3A’s Lee-Scott at No. 23. AISA Class 2A state champion Edgewood and AISA Class 1A state champion Banks remain unranked.

The latest update of our 2023-24 Alabama high school boys basketball rankings sees six teams enter the Top 25 as we head into the AHSAA state semifinals. That group is headlined by Class 6A’s Helena at the No. 14 spot.
Also new to the rankings are the Lee-Scott Warriors, who recently concluded their 2023-24 season as the AISA Class 3A state champions.

Four new teams enter the top 25 in our latest 2023-24 Alabama high school boys basketball rankings, with Jackson, Grissom, Ramsay, and Mars Hill Bible sitting at No. 22-25, respectively. Jackson, the highest-ranked of that group, is currently riding a lengthy winning streak and sits at 24-2 overall for the season.

The latest update of our 2023-24 Alabama high school boys basketball Top 25 rankings includes a pair of programs making their respective debuts this season in Class 7A’s Thompson at No. 23 and 4A’s Jacksonville at No. 25. Thompson sits at 17-8 overall for the season at the time of writing, while Jacksonville, the defending Class 4A state champion, is 21-6.

The first update of the new year to our 2023-24 Alabama high school boys basketball rankings sees four new teams enter the Top-25, the highest-ranked of which is Class 7A’s Auburn at No. 13. The additional new teams are Vestavia Hills (No. 17), Clay-Chalkville (No. 24), and Jasper (No. 25). Class 7A’s JAG was the biggest mover of the week, jumping five spots to No. 7.

Headlining our initial 2023-24 Alabama high school boys basketball Top-25 rankings are the Huntsville Panthers, who sit at an impressive 13-1 at the time of this writing. The Panthers’ lone loss came to Montverde Academy (FL), while their victories have come over the likes of Hoover, Mountain Brook, Buckhorn, Central (Phenix City), and Austin, among others.
