2 Coastal Alabama Pitchers Toss No-Hitters on Same Day
In a rare feat, two coastal Alabama pitchers – Eli Zielinski of Daphne and Bryce Eddington of St. Luke’s – threw no-hitters on the same day.
Daphne defeated Alma Bryant 4-0, with Zielinski striking out 15 batters in seven innings. The Belmont commit has 30 strikeouts in his last two starts.
St. Luke’s defeated J.U. Blacksher in five innings by a score of 14-0 and will presumably remain the No. 1 Class 2A team in the state. Eddington struck out 12, while also going 2-for-3 at the plate with a pair of doubles.
