End of Tenure: Charlsea Clark Departing Bishop Kenny After 6 Years as Girls Basketball Coach

On June 17, Bishop Kenny girls basketball coach Charlsea Clark announced that she was leaving the school after an impressive six-year run with the Crusaders. She is leaving to pursue a coaching job at the collegiate level, according to an article in The Florida Times-Union.

Clark finished with an overall record of 112-62 at Bishop Kenny and led the Crusaders to four district titles and three FHSAA state final four appearances. She was also named 2021 Coach of the Year for Class 4A by the Florida Athletic Coaches Association, according to a tweet by Bishop Kenny Athletics.

In a statement on Twitter, Clark said leaving the school and the athletes “is one of the toughest decisions I’ve ever had to make.”

“I will forever cherish my staff and all the memories we’ve made,” she said. “BKGB is an amazing place and I look forward to watching this program continue to soar for years to come. Forever a Crusader.”

Best of luck to coach Clark at the next level.
