AHSAA Class 6A Elite 8 Matchup Predictions
The 2021 AHSAA Class 6A Elite 8 could look very similar to 2020, as we could potentially see three highly anticipated rematches: Opelika vs. Saraland, Pinson Valley vs. Oxford and Mountain Brook vs. Clay-Chalkville.
Defending 6A state champion Pinson Valley returns notable talent headlined by quarterback Zach Pyron. Additionally, many of the state’s top players will also return, including Oxford’s Trequon Fegans, Opelika’s Jarell Stinson and Clay-Chalkville’s Marquarius White.
One team that could make a deep run that didn’t last season is Hueytown, which returns talent headlined by 6A First-Team All-State wide receiver De’Andre Coleman.
Deep into the Class 6A playoffs last season was some of the most must-see games in the state. Will 2021 be the same?
